These are our favorite days ... "home days" as little girl calls them - no agenda, just our typical routine. Hubby is plugging away steadily on the house, and has had the added boost of help from his dad and brother-in-law lately (thank you!). Mechanicals are the focus, so, hopefully we can fully insulate soon.

We had such a fun Monday morning (how often can you say that?) this week!
To start it off, little boy woke up unusually early, but was content to snuggle with me in bed for an hour while the rest of the family slept. His snuggling is becoming shorter now that he is on the go, so this was a special treat. Then, hubby drove me to the clinic and I had my doctor appointment while he and the little ones made a Menards run. This was the first appoinment thus far where it hasn't been snowing or bitterly cold, and, I got chauf·feured (it's a 45-minute trek)! Next, I sat in the waiting room for my ultrasound and read for 45 minutes ... no interruptions! Then the rest of the family arrived as I was called back for our ultrasound. What a blessing to see a healthy, growing baby BOY! Later in the day, a call from the doctor revealed that my amniotic fluid level is low, so I am focusing on drinking a lot of Gatorade and resting more on my left side. They plan to monitor closely; otherwise, at this point, all is well. If you think of it, please pray for our little one! Check out our new play-yard! Hubby finished this fence on Monday evening - just in time for us to enjoy a marvelous day outdoors on Tuesday. The kids loved it and didn't appear to feel confined at all; in fact, I think they kind of like the boundary right now. And then came the storm. I have to admit, it was discouraging waking up to a foot of snow, several tree branches down, and no power (we were without it for about 6 hours). The day was salvagable, though. Hubby took advantage of the cooler temperature and made some headway framing the attic for blowing insulation. I have been helping out in the late afternoons/early evenings at a nearby care center this week, covering for a therapist that is on vacation (did she time that right, or what?). Little girl finished her first 100 piece puzzle that she has been diligently working on for the past few weeks. She has also been loving the "Little House" books and is hooked. Little boy has been practicing new words and climbing ... oh dear! For those of you that received a good dose of snow today, I hope you fared okay!
