FAMILYWe have been doing more picnics lately, as it is much more inviting than our make-shift kitchen for the summer (pictured below). Instead of shifting our kitchen from one room to another while the main level is being completed, we decided to relocate it to our basement. The crockpot, George Foreman grill, and newly purchased toaster oven are used heavily and I think I have worked out a weekly menu that's do-able using these appliances. I am so thankful for the beautiful weather we have been having, as it makes living in construction so much more tolerable. The children are simply thrilled to have a new "place" to play in and to have picnics ... truely a testimony that it's not the physical place or things that matter, but the people. We hope to tackle painting our main level bathroom/laundry room this weekend, because I desperately need our laundry hooked up again ... yikes, the loads are piling up!
