June has been a full month, including many yearly and once-in-a-lifetime events: hubby's little sister's wedding, a visit from dear friends from across the country, Vacation Bible School, a bridal shower for my future sister-in-law, and the passing of hubby's dear, sweet grandpa. House ProjectWe have been the grateful recipients of some helping hands this month, including hubby's dad and brother (my dad is also stripping woodwork for us at his house to lessen our load). Hubby is busy tackling the tale end of framing and mechanicals, with a goal of fully insulating either this weekend or next weekend, which will be a big milestone for us. Evenings are quickly eaten up with lawn mowing, tending to the little ones, and occasional work commitments, but he is a diligent, steady (relentless at times?) worker. Below is pictured the detailed framing that he completed in the attic to allow for insulation. Ordinary DaysWhenever we have a busy period, I am reminded of how essential our routine is to our family. The rhythm keeps us all sane in the midst of construction chaos, and ensures that the most important things get done each day ... well, usually!

Looks like lots of summer fun. Heard about Grandpa's passing- you were all in my prayers. Tell the kiddos and hubby hello for me!
